He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto and Euphemia; his siblings-in-law, Werner Sosnitza and Ursula Kindling; and his daughter-in-law Leah Biegler.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Cornelia, Robert, Werner (Kelly), Chris (Leah Lawrence), Lawrence and Roland; his grandchildren, Connor, Brett, Noah, Zach, Kio and Zaia; his brother Artur (Marlene); and his nieces and nephews, Mark, Lisa Anne, Richard, Olaf, Anke, Anja and Oliver. He is also survived by his parents and brother.
