It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Mary Szakacs (Regina, Saskatchewan), born in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Szakacs and Mary Szakacs; and her siblings-in-law, Myrtle Szakacs, Jeno Horvath and Don Shenton.

She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Horvath, Alice Howden (Joe) and David Szakacs (Janice); her nieces and nephews, Barrie Howden (Denese), Alden Howden (Sheila), Rick Howden (Darlene), JoLynn Blaikie (Dale), Dylan Szakacs (Janaya) and Danny Szakacs (Jelayne); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alyssa Howden, Joel Howden (Brittany), James Howden, Monique Portelance (Andre), Emily Nelson (Logan), Amy Thue (Tanner), Annie Hamblin (Logan), Levi Howden (Alexandria), Jenny Cobb (Bryn), Cole Blaikie (Coral), Brock Blaikie, Joni Blaikie, Amy Szakacs, Azlyn Szakacs, Kenzy Szakacs, Jarvis Szakacs and Lexxy Szakacs. She is also survived by many great-great nieces and great-great nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
