He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Schick and Emma Schick; his siblings, Evelyn Folwark (Martin), Louise Stevenson (Charles), Shirley Schick, Arnold (Doris), Frank, George (Vera), Fred and Brian (Sherry); and his siblings-in-law, Dick Switzer and Loretta Massey.

He is survived by: his wife Marcella; his siblings, Ann Switzer, Linda Barry (Peter), Jake and Ernie; his siblings-in-law, Barb Schick, Ann Schick, Charlotte Beler, Elaine Crawford (David), Maryann Edenoff (Ivan), Charlene Salvail, Lloyd Beler (Margaret), Jim Beler (Jeanette) and Gerald Beler (Wendy); and his extended family, Kris Schoenroth (Fred) and John Kuffner (Caroline). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Regina Humane Society, 4900 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK S4W 0T7.
