He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Gebert and Jacob Sr. Gebert; his former wife Mary; his brother Carl Gebert; and his siblings-in-law, Dolores Gebert, Charlotte Gebert, Anne Plante and Patrick Mallaghan.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Peter Gebert (Denise), Susan Sunquist (Tim), Sandi Gebert and Tim Gebert (Laurie); his grandchildren, Tony Gebert, Jennifer Nee (Justin), Christopher Gebert, Ryan Sunquist (Angela), Tyler Sunquist (Cassie), Landon (Krista), Shanna Ullrich, Zachary Gebert (Jess), Aaron, Jeffrey, Nicole Gebert, Jorah, Skylar and Jenae Gebert; his stepchildren, Gerald, Diana and Denise; his brother Edward Gebert; his siblings-in-law, Larry Plante and Louise Mallaghan (Denise); and his granddaughter Joanne Gebert. He is also survived by Grandpa Jack leaves behind 10 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
