She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold Nelson; her parents, Walfred Carlson and Johanna Ophaug; her siblings, Clarence, Wilfred, Elmer, Henry, Helen, Alma, Hilda, Esther, Val, Len and Alden; and her nieces and nephews, Eileen Nielsen, Maureen Persson, Courtney Wilcox and Lawrence Nielsen.
She is survived by: her children, Daryl (Brenda), Nelson (Regina), Rod Nelson (Suzanne Staggenborg) of Pittsburgh, PA, Sandra Nelson (Mike Morse) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Greg Nelson (Regina) and Susan Nelson (Regina); her grandchildren, Janine Chay (Brandon), Amy Nelson, Charles Nelson and Laura Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Owen and Mackenna Chay.
