He is survived by: his spouse Lloyd Benzie; his children, Nicole Birkenshaw (Derek), Reagan Gonzalez (Jorge) and Ryan Clark; and his grandchildren, Taylor Birkenshaw (Spencer Grimard), Courtney Birkenshaw (Reece McDermott), Caitlin Birkenshaw (Carter Froehlich), Marcello Gonzalez (Brie Davidson), Diego Gonzalez, Dylan, Damian and Annabelle Clark. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cal built "the shop", this 111-year-old business, into what it is today, all while overcoming the challenges of advancing technology, times of recession, a global pandemic, and his advancing age, accompanied by his brief illness with an aggressive cancer.
