He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reimer and Katharina Reimer; his sister Eva Bulbeck; his siblings-in-law, Jack Bulbeck and Carolyn Reimer; his nephew Troy Reimer; his niece Barb Reimer; and his in-laws, Robert and Phyllis Skinner.

He is survived by: his wife Rae; his children, Michelle Reimer and Robert Reimer (Susie); his grandsons, Noah and Liam; his daughter Deanna Bach (Kevin); his grandchildren, Autumn Uy (Rylan) and Keira Bach; his brother-in-law Garth Skinner (Doreen); his niece Dolores Unger (Brian); his nephews, Donnie Bulbeck (Gail), Dave Bulbeck (Cheryl) and Dennis Bulbeck (Linda); his brother Bill Reimer; his nephew Mike Reimer (Rose); and his niece Tammy Norheim.
