With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Frederick James Birnie (Regina, Saskatchewan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David Frederick James left this world on November 5, 2024 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Birnie and Mamie Birnie; his parents-in-law, Stephen and Marjorie Maxim; his siblings, Donald Birnie, Robert Birnie, Glen Birnie, Dennis Birnie, Shirley Goodman, Elaine Birnie, Thelma Brinkworth and Donna Cullen; and his siblings-in-law, Delbert Grainger, John Goodman, Harold Brinkworth, Phil Cullen, Wanda Birnie and Carol Martinac.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Darby and Brett (Crystal); his grandchildren, Brady, Brynn, Brooke, Kaylee, Dylan and Max Birnie; his sisters, Helen Grainger, Gail (Bob Middleton) and Brenda Birnie; and his siblings-in-law, Anne, Jean, Loretta Birnie, Lori Bowering (Trevor) and Lon Martinac. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Speers Family Centre (2333 Cornwall St, Regina, SK S4P2L4).
