He was predeceased by: his parents, Ewald Schmeichel and Alvina Schmeichel; and his brothers, Wayne and Rudy Schmeichel. He is survived by: his wife Audrey O'Reilly; his sons, Curtis (Cindy) and Kelly (Chelsea); his brothers, Francis Schmeichel (Kathy) and Arnold Schmeichel (Judi); and his sisters-in-law, Doris Schmeichel and Maggie Pyne. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
