He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Carlson; his parents, Fred Carlson and Edith Carlson; his sister Valerie Patterson; his daughter Leanne Carlson; his parents-in-law, Bower Sheasby and Clara Sheasby; his brothers-in-law, Dan, Raymond, Ralph Sheasby, Caron Patterson and Jack Wedge; and his nephew Daryl Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughter Carla Drew (Lyle) of Regina; his grandsons, Garrett, Bryce and Wyatt; his son Wayne Carlson (Gail) of Regina; his grandchildren, Bryan, Carissa and Nathan; his son Robert Carlson of Calgary; his sisters, Betty Wedge and Shirley Stewart (Spud); and his sister-in-law Dot Sheasby.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Speers Funeral Chapel (2136 College Ave, Regina, SK S4P1C5).
Charles was presented with a Distinguished Agrologist Award by the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists, recognizing his many contributions to the industry.
