She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Churney; and her parents, Mary Homenuik and John Homenuik. She is survived by: her children, Shan Thiel (John), Thyiela Maschek (Michael) and Garth Churney; and her grandchildren, Carolyn Shorrock (Christopher), Michael Kurtis Maschek (Hayley), Nastassja Dickens (John), Peter Thiel (Kayla), Luke Thiel (Kayleen) and Annika Agnew (Russell). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
