He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Joanne; his parents, Metro and Katherine; his brothers, Walter and Harry; and also, Fred, Annie Kluke and Eugene.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his family Robert Soroka; his grandchildren, Derek (Katy) and Katrina (Corey); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, David and Boone; his brother Jack (Vivian); his siblings-in-law, Alex, Denise and Kathleen; and his close friends, Axel and Rachel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Maurice Parish Cemetery, Box 9, Bellegarde, Saskatchewan S0C 0J0 or to a charity of choice.
