He was predeceased by: his parents, Mable Herdman and Charles Herdman; and his siblings, Hilma Sinclair, Robert Herdman and Anne Herdman.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Laviolette; his close friend Linda Henderson; his sister-in-law Marlene Herdman; his nieces and nephews, Scott Adair, Wade Adair, Jackie Bardal, Tracy Collins, Kim O'Connell, Laurie England, Janine Collins, Jesse Kormanak, Jane Kormanak and Ellen Herdman (Wolf); and also, Barbara Barks, Raymond MacGregor, Roxanne Henderson, Conrad Henderson and Felica Henderson.
