He was predeceased by: his father Francois Whitedeer (Louise); his siblings, Willie Whitedeer, Freda Whitedeer and Marie Whitedeer (William Throassie); his grandparents, Vincent Whitedeer, Dorothy Whitedeer, John Deranger and Julie Deranger; his nieces and nephews, Russell Whitedeer, Wesley Yooya, Tracy Yooya, Waylon Whitedeer (Tyson), Timothy Charlette (Missing) and Kourtney McKimmon; and his stepson Teddy Martell.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Whitedeer; his sons, Nevan Martell (Alexa Mae), James Jr. and Dallas Whitedeer; his stepdaughters, Morning Dawn Weenonis and Kiera Weenonis; his grandchildren, Trinity, Stephanie, Monell, Dante, Khyren, Christian, Alexander, Avery, Patrick and Jersey; and his sisters, Mary Mercredi (Fred), Lena Adam (Lawrence), Elizabeth Charlette (Robert) and Celine Pearson (Lester). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & relatives.
