He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Johnny Sr. Ballantyne, Victoria Ballantyne, Joseph Denego and Maria Denego; and his aunts and uncles, Rachel Custer (Joseph), Alice M. Ballantyne, Polly I. Ballantyne, Susan Heron, Noreen Denego, Robert Ballantyne, Samuel Ballantyne and Napoleon Denego.
He is survived by: his wife Caitlin Denego (Keenatch); his children, Tristyn Panas-Denego and Xander Denego; his mother Freda Denego; his brothers, Wesley Ballantyne, Cameron Ballantyne and Clifford Denego; and his aunts and uncles, Horace Sr. Ballantyne, Leonard Denego (Uli), Ernie Denego (Evelyn), George Denego (Carrie), Albert Denego, Lawrence Denego, Maryann Ballantyne (Issac), Margaret Denego (Roddrick), Cecilia Smart (Bill), Linda Denego (Roddy) and Dorothy Denego. He is also survived by numerous cousins and nieces.
