He was predeceased by: his parents, Vitaline Cardinal (Bruno) and Gilbert Cardinal; his niece Lindsay Roy; his mother-in-law Hazel MacDonald; his brother-in-law Ronald MacDonald; his nephew Daniel MacDonald (MacDonald); and his brothers-in-law, Randy and Daniel McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Grace MacDonald of La Ronge, SK; his sons, Joshua Cardinal and Calvin Shurygalo; his grandchildren, Kai and Daya Cardinal; his brother Allan Cardinal (Geraldine); his nieces and nephews, Janice and Cherri; his sister Kathy Roy (Brian); his nephews, Elmer, Grant and Garrett; his brother Les Cardinal; his nieces and nephews, Skye, Jake, William, Carson and Zach; his father-in-law Ernest MacDonald; and his siblings-in-law, Brian (Shelly), Slim, Jimmy, Judy, Jeannette (Robert) and Therese (Alvin). He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
