He was predeceased by: his father Mike Sr. Kalinowski (Jenny); his parents-in-law, Bill Safruk and Leona Welyholowa; his brothers, Jim Kalinowski (Vicky), Harry Kalinowski (Pauline), Johnny Kalinowski and Steven Kalinowski; his brothers-in-law, Donnie Safruk and John Smytaniuk; his nephews, Greg Smytaniuk and Eddy Boyachko; and his niece Mary Strilkew.

He is survived by: his wife Marie; his siblings, Olga Smytaniuk, Irene Koreckyi (Stan), Sylvia Balon and Mike Kalinowski (Iris); and his sister-in-law Sylvia Kalinowski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
