He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Cook and Alice Cook; his wife Charlotte Cook; his son Randy Cook; his siblings, Jean B. McKenzie, Grace Despins (Ray), Betsy Cook, William "James" Cook and Charlie Cook (Miriam); his in-laws, Larry, Sidley, Nathan, Wilfred Settee, Fanny Robertson, Mary Halkett and Elsie McKenzie; and his grandmother Rosie Settee.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Cook, Elsie Daniels (Maurice), Laurie Lindskog (Rodney), D. Brian Cook, Durwin Cook, Solomon Cook (Jennifer), Heath Cook, Trevor Cook, Lyle Cook, Ernest Cook, Carol Cook, Amanda Bird (Eric), Tyson Mason-Bird (Christine), Troy Bird and Becky Bird; his godson John Halkett; his granddaughter Tracey Halkett-Ermine (Jonas); his siblings, Daniel Cook (Grace), Sarah Brown (Wendell), Mary Semmier (Dieter) and Carrie Cook; and his in-laws, John Jeho McKenzie, Sebastian Crespo Martin and Theresa Morin (Cook). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and special friends.
A wake was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the White Hall. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Little Red River School.
