He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stewart and Marjorie Stewart; his siblings, Morry, Gordon, Charlie Stewart and Loise Ziegler; his siblings-in-law, Gertrude Vandale, Agnes Ethier, Jeannette Wasyliw, Alban Azure, Fernand Ethier, Eric Priestley and Gordon Vandale; and his cousin Doreen Pilon.
He is survived by: his wife Delphine Stewart; his siblings-in-law, Myrt Kostiuk, Theresa Azure, Rose Kozushka and Nick Wasyliw; his nieces and nephews, Wanda Friesen, Anita Whitton (Randy), Richard Gillies (Vicki), Jo-Anne Rankin (Jerry) and Brian Gillies (Carma); his adoptive daughters, Darla Janzen (Kris), Debbra Roach (Ronnie) and Dee Wall; his grandchildren, Sheldon, Kris, Mike, David, Thomas, Kameron, Michael, Jacob, Sarah and Preston; his great grandchildren, Jeremy, Isis, Kaimera, Dylan, Konnor, Harley, Zeke, Silas, Klara, James, Jade and Parker; and his cousin Romey Pilon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
