He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Provost and Eileen Provost; and his sister-in-law Lesia Kostiuk (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Pauline Provost; his children, Carla Ambros (Ryan Walter), Derek Provost (Jodie Bahrey) and Gregory Provost; his grandchildren, Darwin, Anthony, Brandon, Catie, Zavier, Sienna, Irelynd and Wyatt; and his siblings, Eileen Provost Jr., Frances Riou (Robert), Bernadette Provost and Jim Provost (Brenda).
He won numerous service awards including the prestigious James D. Higgins award from the Canadian Catholic Trustees Association for his Outstanding contributions to Catholic Education in 2023. He also won the Queen's Jubilee Medal in 2022 for his outstanding contributions to his community.
