He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ken, Pat Getz, Mervin and Lorna Braaten; his uncle Gary Braaten; and his cousin Todd Warder.

He is survived by: his close friend Jade Fisher; his sons, Ashtyn and Oliver Getz; his parents, Ray Getz and Christina Getz; and his sister Mandi Getz (Tyler Schlichemeyer).
