He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pistun and Teenia Pistun; and his siblings, Vindlan, George, Andy Pistun, Angeline Matwechuk and Marie Levinton.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ronald and Ralph Pistun (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Annie, Nancy Pistun and Barry Levinton. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
