She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph-Edouard Chorel and Francoise Chorel; her daughter Joanne Gibbs (Larson); and her sons-in-law, Gene Gibbs and Al Larson.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Blanchard; her children, Roger, Dolores Blanchard, Joel, Marie-Anne Blanchard, Lise and Michel Couture; her siblings, Marie Tessier (Jules), Fernand Chorel (Marjorie), Cecile Palmier (Andre), Liliane Fafard (Norman) and Rodrigue Chorel (Doris); and also, Simone Tessier (Laurier), George Blanchard and Ghislaine St (Real).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Germaine's name to the Ponteix Foyer St. Joseph, Box 450, Ponteix, SK S0N 1Z0.
