It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn McCallum in Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan, who passed away on February 5, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John B. McCallum; her children, Gloria Nateweyes and Conrad McCallum; her parents, Solomon Michel and Margaret Michel; her stepmother Louisa Michel; her siblings, Napoleon Michel and Flora Jean; her grandchildren, Payton J. Ballantyne, Marlon Dorion, Sikwan McCallum, Courtney McCallum, Lauren McCallum (LuLu), Baby McCallum and Angel Roberta Michel; her sons-in-law, Melvin Nateweyes, J. B. Dorion, William Merasty and Conrad Ballantyne; her parents-in-law, Eliza and Anthanese McCallum; her siblings-in-law, Suzette Ratt (Philip), Jane Merasty (Napoleon) and Arthur McCallum (Ann); her nieces and nephews, Audrey McCallum, Vivian Ratt, Teresa Swan, Mervin McCallum, Trevor Michel and Dereck Michel; her adoptive parents, Peter Linklater and Catherine Linklater; her adoptive daughter Mary Ann Custer; her siblings, George Linklater, Margaret Custer, Mariam Mason, George Michel, Gilbert Michel, Corny Michel, Clarence Michel and Ronnie Michel; and her pet Fluffy.
She is survived by: her children, Rose, Verna, Charlene, Brenda (Horace), Debbie (Floyd), Sandra, Gwen (Archie K.), Patsy (Ted), Tanya (Jonas), Robert (Lorna), Roland (Marriette), Leland (Frances), Patrick (Jackie), Lionel (Evelyn), Brian (Gladys), Keith (Frances) and Darrell (Patricia); her goddaughter Margaret V. Ballantyne; her family, Margaret (Ernest), Irene, Rose, James and Leland; and her siblings-in-law, Maggie Halcrow, Clara Linklater, Nancy Michel and Roy Ballantyne (Loretta). She is also survived by 72 grandchildren.
