He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Myron and Jean Rubbert; his cousins, Scott Rubbert and Briggs Zimmer; his aunt Brenda King; and his friends, Murray, Frenchie and Ryan.

He is survived by: his son Kylen Christopher Rubbert; his sister Danielle Rubbert; his parents, Lorna Janet Petzel and Lorin Edgar Rubbert; his grandmother Ida Anna Petzel; his cousin Brett Rubbert; and his close friends, Lane Gibson, Warren Dalziel and Mallory Hawker. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Kylen Rubbert Trust Fund" at Affinity Credit Union, Oxbow to further his education in the future.
