He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma; and his parents, Stewart Cogswell and Ruth Cogswell. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Pouteaux, Karla Zang, Janice Lehman (Tom) and Stewart Cogswell (Sandra); his grandchildren, Corey Zang (Pam), Shelby Williams (Mike), Shane Lehman (Hannah), Whitney Lehman, Josey Holderness (Colin), Mark and Marlin Cogswell; his great grandchildren, Rielly Williams, Waylon and Garrett Holderness; his sisters, Pearl Wright (Lyle) and Linda Birkland (Ken); and his sister-in-law Vivian Coleman.

The family plan to have a celebration of life in the summer providing the Covid restrictions allow.
