She was predeceased by: her father Jacob Friesen; her brother Harvey Friesen; her niece Tammy Salidas; her brother-in-law Steve Melenchuk; her parents-in-law, David F. and Helen Reddekopp; and her sister-in-law Elvira Reddekopp.
She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Darren (Sejal), Kendra (Parviz Yazdani) and Lorenda; her grandchildren, Morgan, Eryn, Rohan Reddekopp, Zayneddin, Kazia, Solmaz and Saviz Yazdani; and her siblings, Cliff Friesen (Susan Jones), Rosella Harms (Ron), Harriet Melenchuk and Vicki Doell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
