He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Caird and Catherine Caird (Sneddon); his parents-in-law, Norman and Irene Mehnke (Shepperd); and his sister Margaret Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Mae Caird (Mehnke); his son Ken Caird (Harmina) of Calgary; his stepchildren, Josh Louwersheimer (Jenny), Adrienne Swayze (Eric) and Matt Louwersheimer (Anna); his son Bill Caird (Barb) of Ogema; his grandchildren, Jason Caird (Hailey) and Laura Delanoy (Justin); his great grandchildren, Hunter and Bella Delanoy; his nephews, Bob Turner (Joanne) and Darryl Turner (Bonnie); and his children, Kenneth James, William Charles Norman and Nancy Nadine of Saskatoon.
