He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leonard and Lillian Leonard; and his son Curtis Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Nola Leonard; his daughter Terri Campbell (Glenn); his granddaughter Katharine Payne (Christopher); his great grandchildren, Fynn and Jace; his granddaughters, Madeline Brown (Cody) and Amy Campbell (Steven Orechow); and his brother John Leonard (Bernice).

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ogema Heritage Hall, Ogema, Saskatchewan.
