He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George and Isabelle Cockburn; his parents, Peter Cockburn and Margaret Cockburn; his brother George; his sister-in-law Lillian Cockburn; his sister Dorothy; and his brother-in-law Al Whitman.

He is survived by: his wife Denise Nachtegaele; his stepson Robert (Tracy); his children, Bill and Sandra Lamon (Blair); his grandson Reid Lamon (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Blake and Luke; his granddaughter Jada Lamon; his great grandchild Grayson of North Battleford; his son Dean (Charlann); and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Denelle, Dane of Edmonton, Tyler (Megan), Brooklyn and Jessica of North Battleford.
