She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Thomas; her parents, Marie Stoney and John Stoney; her siblings, Albert, Percy Stoney and Nancy; her pet Wahchauk Horse; her aunts and uncles, James, Louis Whitford, Eileen Morin, Rose St. Germain, Mitilda Whitford, Jenny and Julia Albert; her grandson Derek C. Shankar; her cousin Marlene Whitford; her nephew Raymond Thunderchild; and her nieces, Carol McDonald-Thunderchild and Laverna Thunderchild (Napwin).
She is survived by: her children, BettyAnne Stoney-Shanker (Stewart) and Rachel Whitford; her sister Eliza Thunderchild-Starr (Douglass Starr); her grandchildren, Travis C, Corey, Shankar, Dwyane, Gyles, Cameron Katcheech and Lukas Whitford; and her great grandchild Isaiah Oxebin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
