She was predeceased by: her parents, Geraldine Knowles and Robert Knowles; and her siblings-in-law, Cliff Laing, Bob Laing and Karen Vetter (Georgina Krenn).

She is survived by: her husband Allan; her daughter Alison Michel (Jeff); her grandchildren, Carson and Morgan; her son Ryan Laing; her brothers, Dan Knowles (Sandra) and Jim Knowles (Surj); and her siblings-in-law, Gail Laing, Vivian Walden, Kellie Mills (Joe) and Donald Laing (Twyla). She is also survived by extended family and friends.
