He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gristwood; his stepson Brad Gristwood; his brothers, Rod Gristwood and Richard Gristwood; and his parents, James Gristwood and Edith Oxenham Yeo.
He is survived by: his children, Rebekka Gristwood of North Battleford, SK, Jennifer Gristwood of Ontario and Jeff Gristwood of Ontario; his siblings, Bob Gristwood (Diana), William "Bill" Gristwood, Don Gristwood (Pat), Linda Dyck (Herman), Sandra Mocknowed, Diana Sweet (Bill) and Pat Nolan; and his sister-in-law Rae Gristwood.
