He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Krieger and Wanda Krieger; his parents-in-law, Carl and Lucy Issel; his granddaughter Hannah Schmidt; his siblings, Edna Waldbauer (August), Helen Waldbauer (Wilfred), Elmer Krieger, Loretta Schick (Wilfred) and Larry Krieger; and his siblings-in-law, Irvin Markwart, Emily Krieger, Wayne Marshall and Johnny Kaczur.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Issel; his children, Lennett Schmidt (Perry), Carmen Krieger and Sheldon Krieger (Kari); his grandchildren, Krystal Esquibel (Aaron), Kayla Bugera (Calin), Jenna Schmidt, Justin, Hunter Krieger, Dylan and Braelyn Krieger; his great grandchildren, Easton, Axton and Anden Esquibel; his siblings, Doreen Markwart, Velma Senft, Harold Krieger, Ervin Krieger (Maryanne), Mavis Yeadon (Gordon) and Carol Marshall; and also, Bernice Kaczur, Richard Issel (Jeri) and Bev Issel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
