He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gibson and Muriel Gibson; his parents-in-law, Roy and Alvena McLeod; his sister Faye Niebergall; his brother-in-law Chris Niebergall; and his brother Henry.

He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his children, Gordon (Jennifer) and Leanne (Michael Cook); his grandchildren, Danielle (Kaden), Coltin, Tanner (Shaquyll) and Mason (Callie); his great grandchild Gentry; his siblings, Lily Steptoe and Norman; and his sister-in-law Linda. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
