He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kienas and Margaret Kienas; his brother Reinhart; his wife Ruby Wutke; and his son-in-law Paul Puffalt.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Kienas (Jacki) and Susan Puffalt; and his grandchildren, Ryan Asher (Whitney), Ruby Kienas, Kendra Zander (Tim), Kaleb Loewen and Breanne Campbell (Mark).
