She was predeceased by: her parents, Anastasia Prokopetz (Zaharia) and John Prokopetz; her husband George Bodnarek; her stepfather John Tomek; her siblings, Bill, George Prokopetz, Mary Kozmech, Lena Krepakevich, Olga Kindrat, Edna Kripps, Anne Yuzik, Betty Matcyk and Doris Napora; and her son-in-law John Ellison.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis (Gwen) and Ruby (Mark Perkins); her grandchildren, David (Kim), Hayley, Madysen, Mason and Geoff; her daughter Donna Ellison; her grandchildren, Shawn Watson (Clay), Harley, Dani, Jacquilynne Wickson (Andrew) and Oakley; her daughter Shelly Beres (Tim); her grandchildren, Sarah Francis (Ian), Tanner, Aiden, Megan Thiedig (Owen), Rhen, Mya, Kyle (Emily) and Jace; her sister Pauline Bodnarek; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Prokopetz and Mary Laakso.
