He was predeceased by: his brother Lloyd; his parents, Roy and Hyacinth; his sister Cathy; his brother-in-law Cecil; his parents-in-law, Helen and Abe; his stepdaughter Colleen; his sister-in-law Shirley; his sons-in-law, Ken and Donnie; and his pets, Benji, Kolby, Tifani and Tango.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his stepchildren, Carla, Shawn (Tracy), Celeste, Lyle and Carmen (Chris); his grandchildren, Crystal (Preston), Jaci, Scott, Quinn (Chantelle), Tyson (Laura), Lydia (Terra), Carrie (Ryan), Camille and Max; his great grandchildren, Kenzo, Kian, Karah, Samantha, Aurora, Holden, Luke, Emitt, Riley, Ava, Aizlyn and Asher; his siblings-in-law, Ted, Vera and Anne (Bob); his daughter Charissa; his grandson Gage; and his siblings, Bev (Larry), Brian (Catherine), Shirley, Garth, David (Carol) and June (Brian).

Donations can be made in Lyle's memory to the Melfort Hospital and St Paul's Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
