He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stonestand and Agnes Stonestand; his son George Sanderson; his sibling Patrick Stonestand; his grandchildren, Magnum Charles, Marlee Sanderson and Storm Daniels; his nephews, Bryce Daniels, Travis Stonestand and Merrill Stonestand; his niece Kendra Stonestand; his son-in-law Jamie Checkosis; his parent-in-law Jerry Constant; his siblings-in-law, Isaac Daniels and Lynda Sanderson; and also, Georgina Sanderson and Victoria Constant.

He is survived by: his children, Carlea, Tammy Danny (Clayton) and Chad (Kelly); his grandchildren, Sundance, Dano, Sage, Katie, Rocko, Kiera, Cale, Carter, Denzaya and Nikolai; and his siblings, Gerald Robert Stonestand, Eric Stonestand (Florence), Edward Stonestand (Juanita), James Stonestand, Darlene Stonestand (Larry Chickeness), Dianne Stonestand (Morris Gladue), Alma Stonestand and Roberta Sanderson (Jason Dryka).
