He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Sterner and John Sterner; his wife Lydia Sterner; and his siblings-in-law, Madelyn Sterner, Donald Hueser and Edwin Teiber.
He is survived by: his siblings, Adolph Sterner, Alfred Sterner, George Sterner, David Sterner, Helen Hueser and Anna Marie Teiber. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
