He was predeceased by: his significant other Lillian DeWolfe; his children, Loretta and John Jr.; his mother Olivia DeWolfe; his parents-in-law, Harry and Albertine Roy; and his siblings-in-law, Punchin Laliberte (Fred), Francis Ducharme (Marcel), Rosa Laviolette, Doris Brenetski (Paul), Violet Callioux (Leo), Carol Roy, Gilbert Roy, Stanley Roy, Jules Roy (Myrtle) and Floyd Roy.
He is survived by: his sister Diana Tingley; his grandchildren, Earl, Sierra and Sheanna; and his siblings-in-law, Myrtle Roy and Bill Roy (Selma). He is also survived by his numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
