She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bert Shook and Iola Shook; her husband Harry Folkes; her daughter Adele (George); her siblings, Marilyn and Donald (Harry); her daughter Donna Lee (Bob); her grandson Aaron; her children, Damien, Roman and Hayden; the father of her children Jess; her children, Michael (Jess), Lincoln, Lexi, Chris (Jane) and Nick (Brooklyn); her son-in-law Neil Crocker (late Adele); and her grandchildren, Adam (Joanna) of Germany, Dane (Jenny) and Alison of Toronto.

Mom and George remained in the home that she had lived in since 1956 until 2018, when advancing age and Alzheimer's Dementia necessitated a move to assisted living.
