He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Burns and Ileane "Toots" Burns; and also, Ronald "Cork", Violet Mursell and Terrance "Terry" Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Burns; his children, Carmen (Gary), Alanna (Paul) and Matthew (Cherise); and his siblings, Mike Burns (Julie) and Sandra Hennessy (Pete). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
