He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Petterson and Agnes Petterson; his brothers-in-law, Bill Freeman and Bernard Moberg; his niece Isobel Smith; his parents-in-law, Henry Krueger and Esther Krueger; and his siblings-in-law, Don Krueger, Wayne Krueger and Ruth Martin (Elmer).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughter Alisa Earl (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Kiana, Branna, Clinton, Leeman, Julie Roy (Cameron) and Rein.
