He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Poggemiller and Frieda Poggemiller; his wife Aleita Tanner; his siblings, Ruth, Elizabeth, Arnold, Victor, Helmuth and Ed; his siblings-in-law, Bernice Harder and Dwayne Tanner; and also, Melvin and Edna Tanner.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Esther Poggemiller; his brother Lloyd; and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Tanner, Arelene Tanner and Paulette Halliday. He is also survived by cousins, neices and nephews.
