He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn; his sons, John and Raymond; and his grandson John Kasick. He is survived by: his daughters, Dorothy (Ron) and Lorna (Rob); his grandchildren, Heidi (Chris), Paul (Lavonne), David (Jill), Mark (Sheila), Pam, Randy and Raymond; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Sarah, Henry, Adrian, Lenora, Eric, Abby, Holly, Myah, Tate, Dane and Selena; his great great grandchild Alice; and his sister Dorie.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melford may be made to the Lumsden and District Heritage Home, 10 Aspen Bay, Lumsden, SK S0G 0C0 or to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
