In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his father Peter Merz; his brothers, Clifton Ben, John Ben and Gregory Ben; and his grandparents, John, Annie Merz and Edna Ben.
He is survived by: his mother Jenny Ben; his daughters, Chloe Whitehawk and Graceful Wuttunee Ben; and his siblings, Jennifer Gamble (Kerry) and Ivan Ben. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Simon and Alma Community Hall. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
