He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta; his parents, Norbert Ferch and Amy Ferch; his parent-in-law Helen Footz; his brother-in-law Ronald Leggett; and also William Footz.

He is survived by: his sons, Brett (Norma), Brittney, Braeden, Justin, Ward (Carrie-Ann), Skye-Lynn Kasse (Bryan) and Link; his siblings, Joan Leggett and Kenneth Ferch (Cheryl); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Marsden (Jim), Loraine Robert (Claude), Lesleah Horvat (John) and Michael Footz (Audrey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
