He is survived by: his sister Linda Scrannge (Ken) of Riely, Alberta; his children, Chris (Danielle), Brett, Stacey (Dennis), Troy, Jeffery, Krissa (Mike), Chad (Erin), Wendy (Mark) and Patsy Letwiniuk of Hyas; his sister-in-law Patti Strocen Norquay (Dan); and also Darlene Liebrecht (Gary) of Yorkton.

Donation in memory of Cooney maybe made to Rhein Community Centre.
