He was predeceased by: his wife Tina Ewanchuk; his parents, Thomas and Pauline; and his siblings, Ann, Tillie, Nellie, Sylvia and Walter.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Shabatoski (Barry), Rodney, Raymond (Kathy), Donna Siwicki (Reg), David, Barry (Holly), Greg and Kevin; his grandchildren, Darren Shabatoski, Colton Siwicki, Dee Nelson (Shawn), Casey (Jinelle), Mitchell, Shinelle and Zachary Handzuik; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kennedy Nelson and Everly Handzuik; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Hornibrook.
